What separates today's 'AI' from true artificial intelligence?

In today's world, the term 'AI' is often thrown around, but it's important to understand that what we've got now isn't quite the full-blown artificial intelligence we see in movies. The current 'AI' we use is more about machine learning, which means it learns from data inputs to make decisions, rather than thinking and understanding like humans. A true AI, on the other hand, would possess consciousness, emotions, and the ability to understand context. We're still a long way from that reality. While today's AI is impressive and evolving rapidly, it's not quite the sentient, all-knowing entity we often imagine.
